I came out of hibernation…

…Then it snowed again and I went back. Northern Ohio has the most schizo weather.

Wha?

No seriously, life comes at you fast, and sometimes the simpler things in life seem easier than writing and keeping up with life. Sorry for not being around, but I’m sure you had plenty to read when I was gone.

I’m still fresh out of blogging ideas, so here’s the short reviews of stuff I’ve been watching. I hope to get back into this more, but right now my energy is spent at work, then avoiding work when I’m not there.

I’m watching about 15 series right now and my brain is officially on overload. Yes, I’m still watching winter shows….Here goes:

Idolmaster Xenoglossia:

This show is oddly cute to me. Even if the character designs are complete re-hashes of Mai Hime. It’s the turn my brain off show of this spring.

Sumomo mo Momomo:

Why am I still watching this? Am I still watching this…in other words, back logged.

Death Note:

Still good, but there better be some epic stuff coming up after Episode 25, not sure where they want to go next with this, and no I haven’t read the manga.

Rocket Girls:

My surprise of the spring season. I’m a sucker for space stuff, but it can’t just be set in space. I like to see people struggling to get there, and the hardships they endure, and the real toil behind that. Maybe it’s because I have ties to NASA that I enjoy these things so much, but to be honest these feelings were there before my ties to NASA. More please!

Bokurano:

Episode two twist ending that even M. Night Shyamalan couldn’t dream of doing. Took a show that I had no idea where they were headed, and went into territory that glues me to the screen. Another surprise.

Hayate no Gotoku:

I laugh my head off watching this. I blame Wakamoto Norio. Right before this show started, I was thinking, I haven’t seen him lately. Imagine my surprise and utter fanboi dance that I did when I heard him.

Sola:

Also really like this, as standard and cliche that it is. Maybe it’s girls in hats that I dig, or is it the power of Noto Mamiko. Is she in everything, or is it just me? Does she sleep?

Claymore:

I watched up to episode four to see where episode three’s cliff hanger finished up. Other than that, this show bores me.

El Cazador de la Bruja:

Bee Train…Girls with Guns…where have I seen this before. Oh well, every time Ellis says “Yes Sir” I chuckle a little. How long will this last.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann:

Whee, I like this fun little slice of GAINAX pie. But seriously the intarweb had a collective wtf with episode 4. Not that I’m not used to GAINAX doing weird like that. Heck, you have to admit that it’s better than GONZO’s bring your kid to work day drawing style.

Lucky Star:

If you don’t like it stop whining about it, and also stop watching it. I’ll keep watching, thankyewverymuch.

Seirei no Moribito:

Very Pretty show with spear wielding mother figure. Sign me up, it gets me all nostalgic for Twelve Kingdoms.

Hidamari Sketch:

If ever there was a show that brightens my day and makes me smile, this is it.

Nanoha StrikerS:

Something is going to happen…..right? Do I hear cricket’s chirping. Maybe they should’ve stuck with 14 episodes. *points to Poll on the right*

Darker than Black:

Watched first episode, what was it about again.

Nagasarete Airantou:

NEWS FLASH: Anime with a guy surrounded by women that want to do him, and he won’t give in. WTF is wrong with male leads in anime. Do I smell a rant coming?

Code Geass:

I watched this late. All the elements of Gundam that I love and a main character with a pair of balls. More please.

Nodame Cantabile:

My wife relives her college days with this show. It can be strange being married to a musician.

5cm per second:

This, my dear readers, reminded me of why I watch and love anime.
